Vengeance

Now I’m more than a quarter of
A century old,
And I often think I’ve wasted
All my gold;
Wish I had got a different, some
Other mould,
If only my tendencies to the right
Direction rolled,
But that should be fine as long as I
Be bold
To declare that revenge’s been sweet –
Though cold –
As you’ve robbed me off my innocence,
You told,
I have robbed you off yours,
Behold!

That busts up the deal; glad I’m
Not yet sold.
